Steve Knight

Steve started Direct Photographic way back in 1993.

When Steve was a child he dreamt of being a BBC cameraman. Not surprising then to hear that he formed Direct after serving his early years in the industry at Conran and Carlton Studios as their Equipment Manager, he now satisfies his love of fiddling with cameras, lights and photographic equipment on a daily basis running the company. He’s the Managing Director of Direct Photographic in London, Paris and Cape Town. Steve plays an active role in the photographic industry and is a non-executive director of The Association of Photographers and is a regular advisor and contributor to Skillset.

Steve loves the movies, enjoying films from the other side of the lens and is a regular theatre goer. When he can get away from the office for a break you’ll probably find him either on the slopes, skiing or under the water, scuba-diving. He loves a day out at Wimbledon watching the tennis and tasting the strawberries and is also a bit of a foodie loving a variety of cuisines.
